Our Process

Ashway welcomes every quotation inquiry from you! Just provide us with a list of your games’ components and your Ashway Project Manager works with you from the very beginning to the end. Through the full communication, the Ashway Project Manager understands what you need and offers some recommendations or solutions on materials, surface finish, suitable sizes, etc. They help you to refine the product specification and offer the cost accordingly. If you have several ideas about one component, don’t worry, Ashway offers the costs for several options at once!

The properly prepared files are the key to a successful game and a smooth production. The design verification process is necessary to ensure there are no errors in the fonts, spells, and artworks, and that they are ready for production. The files can be sent to your Ashway Project Manager via WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive. Then our experienced experts review all of the files and provides digital Eproofs for you to check again. If your game includes miniatures, our plastic engineers offer suggestions on how to tweak the poses and deepen the details to save costs while maintaining the high quality of the miniatures. In the meantime, your designs are definitely safe with us!

Upon your approval of the digital Eproofs, Ashway provides free prototypes or pre-production copies (PPC), which are of very close quality to the mass production products. We airship a full set of games to you for testing and a second review. Your personal project manager follows up on your feedback to determine whether any changes need to be made. Once approved from your end, the mass production is arranged immediately.

It’s now come to mass production. This is the process where thousands of the board game components are produced from one machine to another. Your personal project manager sends you pictures or videos of the process. Then you can share the updates with your crowdfunding backers. Everyone is excited to see how the games are made. When mass production is nearing completion, we airship you a complete set of mass production copy for the final check before assembly. Again, your personal project manager follows up on your feedback via video call or email to make sure all of the game components are ready for the next step.

Once the mass production copy is approved, we arrange the assembly immediately. Before packing the components into the game boxes, we have our experienced quality control team to inspect your components, making sure they are accurate and only the quality components proceed to the next stage. During the assembly, we also have one or two quality control members on-site to ensure the assembly is correct. We even offer free spare components and ship alongside the mass products as the replacements for your customers. Meanwhile, our team captures videos and photos of the assembly process, which your personal project manager will share with you as well as for your players.

During the assembly, we inform you of the date that the goods are ready for pickup. Then you can contact the agent to arrange shipping. Once we make contact with the agent, all the necessary documents will be handled properly between the shipping company and us. What if you don’t a cooperating shipping company? Don’t worry, we provide some recommendations for you to compare.

Do you think our jobs are done? NOT YET! Ashway always looks for long-term partnership, and the service is still going on even though the project is finished. We are open to any further problems or questions you may have.
